In our last post, It's A Numbers Game! we introduced you to Parker Garlitz and his concepts for succesful Internet Marketing. Incidentally, anything that has to do with generating income online (average Internet Marketer) or large revenue streams (high profile website, e.g.: Amazon.com), involves marketing, including the promotion of referral links to recurit referrals for Pay To Click websites.
On Monday October 19, 2009 The Wirespeed Wealth Network launched the Free Referral Page project to promote the Neobux.com, ClixSense.com, Clicksia.com and Wordlinx.com websites. We chose these Pay To Click websites based upon thier Alexa.com ranking, and their reputation for being the top Pay To Click websites on the Internet. Prior to this date we had zero referrals. Fast forward to November 14, 2009 and we've received 77 referrals overall.
How was this achieved? Well, to start with, we promoted our referral page. How else would someone know we were offering a free referral page if we did not promote it? Some 32436 hits later we have our results. An excellent follow up question to ask would be "what was the conversion rate (hits to referrals) of those page impressions?"
Here is the breakdown:
Out of 32436 page views 77 people became our referrals.
Every 421st page view 1 person became our referral.
Therefore, our conversion rate is 2.37 tenths of 1 percent.
At 2.37 tenths of 1 percent our conversion rate is not yet close to the 2 to 4 percent that top websites receive, but it is not bad for a website that is less than a month old. These are the numbers thus far.
So, what is the message behind these numbers? The message is this, in order to convert referrals you must promote your page! Wirespeed Wealth by itself cannot promote everyones page in the same manner that we promote our own. This is the reason we provided 2 links for you to promote. Promoting those 2 links (your referral link and the anonymous referral link) gives everyone the opportunity to get potentially 3 times the exposure for their page.
Conclusion? It will take more than a few hits a day to reach a potential conversion rate that will convert referrals. But don't worry, we are working on providing places where you can increase your page's exposure for free.
So, stay tuned!
We recently received an email from someone who received a free referral page several days ago. Concern was expressed that it had not yet generated referrals. This has led us to ponder out loud the question: "What does it take generate referrals?"
